Your baby has finally arrived, and you are super excited to get your Lactation journey off to a great start! It is best to schedule an appointment with your lactation consultant as soon as possible before any issues arise.
During your lactation consultation visits, we go over any issues you may be experiencing, what your current goals are, and come up with an individualized plan to help meet those goals while also making sure your baby is being well fed and growing well. At every lactation consultation visit we weigh your baby, perform an oral and full body exam, help with latching, and weigh your baby post feed to help get a good picture of how much baby is able to transfer during a feed.
You always receive a visit summary via email after your visits for any instructions, links, feeding plans, etc. to refer back to.
